Tebas: 'An honor that Ronaldo and Messi invest in Spanish football'

LaLiga president Javier Tebas has said he considers it an honour that football greats Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are investing in Spanish clubs. Ronaldo, 41, acquired a 25% stake of Spanish second division club UD Almeria in February while sources told ESPN earlier this week that Messi has reached a preliminary agreement to take over Spanish second division side Eldense. Messi, 39, already owns fifth-division club Cornellà, who are based in Barcelona. 'I found out about Eldense from the media,' Tebas told reporters on Wednesday. 'I don't know if it's true or not, whether Messi has bought it or not, whether it's a group or just him.
